    • PURPOSE: A continuous variable valve duration apparatus is provided to control the duration of a valve lift according to the operating condition of an engine by changing the relative phase angle of a cam shaft slot and a cam slot by a duration control unit. CONSTITUTION: A continuous variable valve duration apparatus comprises a cam shaft(10), a cam unit(20), and a duration control unit. The cam shaft is formed with a cam shaft slot. The cam unit is installed in the cam shaft to vary the relative phase and formed with a cam(22) and a cam slot, and the rotation center of the cam unit accords with the rotation center of the cam shaft. The duration control unit changes the relative phase angle of the cam shaft slot and the cam slot.

    • PURPOSE: A continuous variable valve lift device is provided to regulate the opening and lift distance of a valve easily and precisely without moving a drive cam. CONSTITUTION: A continuous variable valve lift device comprises a control shoe(300), a drive cam(400), and a moving mechanism(500). The control shoe has a slide surface(310) on one side contacting a rocker arm(200) for opening and closing an engine valve, and presses the rocker arm to move. The moving mechanism is contacted with the drive cam and provided with the torque to move the control shoe. The slide surface is composed of a zero lift section which doesn't move the rocker arm, and low and high lift sections to move the rocker arm at different angles.

    • A variable valve lift apparatus of an automotive engine is provided to control the valve lift consecutively because the control motor is controlled by the ECU(Electronic Control Unit). A variable valve lift apparatus of an automotive engine comprises swing arms(6,8) in which one side is supported by hydraulic tappets(10,12), and the other side runs inlet valves(2,4), control shoes(20,22) in which when is rotated the inlet valve, bottom pressurizes rollers(14,16), a cam contact roller(32) which is contacted of the cam-shaft in the interval of the control shoe, vertical links(34,36) which dig, support the adherent roller in the either side, a control shaft(42) which is combined in order to be rotated in one side of the control shoe on cam-shaft without interference, and a control motor(46) driving the sector gear.
