摘要： PURPOSE: A portable terminal control method and a system thereof are provided to operate or control a portable terminal by receiving an input signal for controlling the portable terminal through an extension device. CONSTITUTION: When an extension device(110) is connected to local area wireless communication, a portable terminal(120) receives a control signal from the extension through local area wireless communication and uses the control signal as an input signal for controlling an application. The portable terminal deactivates a touch input unit of the portable terminal. The portable terminal activates the input unit of the portable terminal when the local area wireless communication is released. A key input module includes a direction key and a motion selecting key and controls the application and operation.
