    • PURPOSE: A protection circuit of a Li/SoCl2 battery is provided to simplify a circuit structure by using two switching elements and a capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A capacitor(C) charges the voltage of a Li/SOCl2 battery. A protection part(3) applies the voltage of the capacitor to a load before the initial voltage delay time of the Li/SOCl2 battery elapses. The protection part applies the voltage of the Li/SOCl2 battery to the load after the initial voltage delay time of the Li/SOCl2 battery elapses. When the voltage of the Li/SOCl2 battery is less than a predetermined voltage, the protection part does not apply a voltage to the load.

    • Provided is a battery protection circuit to prevent the decrease of capacity due to the current for operating a protection circuit by setting a selection switch where current does not flow as a general mode. A battery protection circuit comprises an FET which is connected with the positive electrode end of a battery; and a selection switch which controls so as to connect the negative electrode end of a battery and the FET directly or to connect the negative electrode end of a battery and the FET with an interposed PCM (protection circuit module) IC monitoring the voltage of the each unit cell.
