    • PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to prevent over-heating from occurring at a room with a relatively small load if a load locally increases at a plurality of rooms. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a first temperature sensing part(320), a second temperature sensing part, and a controller. The first temperature sensing part is arranged in a first room(410) of the refrigerator to sense the temperature of the first room. The second temperature part is arranged in a second room(420) separated from the first room to sense the temperature of the second room. The controller turns off the compressor in case the difference between the first temperature sensed by the first temperature sensing part and the second temperature sensed by the second temperature sensing part is equal to or bigger than a predetermined value. If at least one of the first temperature and the second temperature is below a target temperature and the difference between the first and second temperatures is equal to or bigger than a predetermined value, the controller turns off the compressor.
