The amplifier is not operated when the repair line is not connected to the second signals. The amplifier is operated when the repair line is connected to the second signals.

    • PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to prevent stripes by linearly changing resistance of dummy channels or fan out parts having an asymmetrical structure. CONSTITUTION: A pad part(2) has dummy channels(6) not connected with signal input ends(5) and effective channels(7) connected with the signal input ends. A first fan out part(3) connects the effective channels with a virtual channel end(8). The virtual channel end is formed of virtual channels(9) as many as the effective channels, wherein the virtual channels forms equal gaps with the effective channels. A second fan out part(4) connects the virtual channel end with the signal input ends.

The micro processor(10) rewrites the convergence control data of the ROM(24) in the EPROM(22) if the convergence data of the ROM and the EPROM aren't agreed with each other.

    • PURPOSE: An in-plane switching liquid crystal display is provided to reduce leakage of light in an opposite portion of a data line, a common electrode and a black matrix. CONSTITUTION: A common electrode(111) and a data line(400) are formed on a lower substrate, and an edge of a black matrix(610) is formed on an upper substrate to oppose an edge of the common electrode. In a state that a pixel is turned off, an electric field parallel to a substrate surface is formed between the common electrode and a data line(400), and an electric field bent at a slow width is formed around the edge of the black matrix. Therefore, a front mirror area is formed around the edge of the black matrix. The front mirror area is covered with the common electrode of the lower substrate.
