摘要： A fixing unit of an image forming apparatus is provided to easily remove paper wound around a heating roller from the heating roller without damaging the heating roller and reduce a frequency of generating a jam. A fixing unit of an image forming apparatus includes a heating roller(10), a press roller(20), a fixing frame(30), a jam prevention roller(110), and a guide(120). The fixing frame supports the heating roller and the press roller so that the heating roller and the press roller rotate, and has a printing paper inlet(31) and a printing paper outlet(33). The jam prevention roller adheres to the heating roller with a predetermined pressure and rotates in order to separate printing paper wound around the heating roller from the heating roller. The guide guides the printing paper removed from the heating roller by the jam prevention roller to be discharged from the fixing unit. A predetermined gap(C1) is maintained between the front end of the guide and the surface of the heating roller.
