    • PURPOSE: A railroad car runs connecting with various kinds of passenger or wagon cars. According to its locomotive, a railroad car brake itself by electric braking (revival braking) and air braking(mechanical braking) at the same time. If electric and mechanical braking happens in an associated way, an actuating time of air braking should be considered. Therein, brake-processing time takes longer remarkably than using only an electric braking. An operator controls a load of separate railroad car manually. Therefore, a problem of safety is raised due to a different sort of braking pressure-values. CONSTITUTION: A selection on brake mode of railroad car is provided to select one of four different kinds of modes by a load of wagon or passenger car. A slowdown and braking pressure of braking pipe is set differently through an each step of a main controller. If a mode is selected by a switch on a control panel, braking and slowdown of a locomotive is performed by a braking pipe and pressure amount of slowdown according to the selected mode. Therefore, a braking load of each passenger and wagon car is decided by whether a car is for passenger or wagon, by whether a maximum speed, braking and slowdown of car is linear or stepping, and by a kind of pressure value licensing pressure.
