    • A card counter for counting various kinds of cards stacked in multiple card storages is provided to count vertically stacked cards and count only target cards correctly among various kinds of cards stacked in card storages. A card counter includes a fixed frame(10), a horizontal driving motor attached to one side of the fixed frame, a horizontal moving unit(30) for converting rotating motion of the horizontal driving motor into linear motion, a horizontal movable frame(40) which is fixed to the horizontal moving unit and linearly moves, a vertical driving motor(50) attached to the horizontal movable frame, and a vertical moving unit(60) for converting rotating motion of the vertical driving motor into linear motion. The card counter further includes a sensor mount(70) which is fixed to the vertical moving unit and linearly moves in the vertical direction, a card sensor(80) mounted on the card mount to output a card count signal based on a control signal, and a controller which outputs the control signal to the card sensor and a motor control signal for controlling the operations of the horizontal driving motor and the vertical driving motor and counts cards based on the card count signal received from the card sensor.

    • PURPOSE: A device for calculating optical notes is provided to prevent dust and noises by a mechanic device by not requiring composition mechanically providing power. CONSTITUTION: A note fall guide frame(100) forces a fall direction of a note falling by the gravity as a first direction. A light transmitting unit(200) emits a first optical signal in a direction vertical to the first direction through a fall path of the note. A light receiving unit(300) faces the light transmitting unit while having the note fall guide frame in the center and receives the first optical signal. A calculating unit(400) calculates the number of notes based on a change of the amount of light of the first signal received by the light receiving unit. The note fall guide frame covers three or more of vertexes of the note, has a square columnar shape, and includes protrusions formed on an inner surface.

    • An area based object counting device and a method thereof are provided to count objects, passing through an interest area, based on a calculated size of the object by area. A mean size and an error of an object by image area are determined(S410). The object is extracted from an image obtained by a camera. An area including the object is decided(S440). By tracing the object, a coefficient is confirmed(S450,S460). The image area is divided into at least two areas. The divided areas within the image area are symmetry in up, down, left and right directions. Correction of a distorted image is performed by using one of a correction tool box or a defined algorithm.

    • A system for tracing movement of a moving object and a control method thereof are provided to detect an abnormal route state of the moving object by tracing a plurality of moving objects based on an image collected from a plurality of image collectors, and generate/utilize new data having a format suitable for a space by measuring entry/exit, staying, and passing quantity of the moving objects in the area. A plurality of image collectors(100) capture a plurality of moving objects vertically by using a visible sensor, obtains continuous frames from captured analog image signal, and converts the continuous frames into a digital image signal. A terminal(200) converts the digital image signal received from the image collectors into binary image data, receives the digital image capturing the moving objects entering the space from the image collector installed to a gate, and recognizes the same object in the continuous frames by using the converted binary image data. The terminal generates locus data from coordinates of the moving objects determined as the same moving objects, calculates the staying/passing quantity based on the locus data, and calculates exit quantity by receiving the digital image capturing the entered moving objects from the image collector installed to the gate.
