摘要： PURPOSE: An ice maker and a refrigerator including the same are provided to increase ice-making capacity by enlarging the side of an ice-making tray to the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION: An ice maker comprises: an ice making tray(161) which comprises a plurality of cells(162); an ejector(171) which is arranged in one side of the ice making tray and separates the ice in the inside of the cells; and a drive motor which is installed in the upper side of the ice making tray and offers the driving force to the ejector. A transmission device which transfers the torque of the drive motor to the ejector is installed in the one side of the ice making tray. The transmission device comprises a plurality of gears which is rotated and is engaged each other between the drive motor and the ejector.
