    • Disclosed are a coating composition for metallic yarn, which can prevent a metal deposition layer from being dyed or damaged when metallic yarn manufactured by depositing metal on a substrate of synthetic resin is dyed, and a method for manufacturing metallic yarn using the same. The coating composition for metallic yarn comprises: 10 to 70 wt% of a binder resin selected from the group consisting of epoxy resin, melamine resin and a mixture thereof; 1 to 20 wt% of an isocyanate-based curing agent; 0.1 to 8 wt% of a plasticizer; and a remaining solvent. In addition, the method for manufacturing metallic yarn comprises the steps of: forming a metal deposition layer by depositing metal on either or both surfaces of the substrate of a synthetic resin film; removing the solvent from the coating composition for metallic yarn by applying the coating composition for metallic yarn to the surface of the metal deposition layer and heating and drying the coating composition for metallic yarn, and forming a protective layer by making the binder resin and the curing agent of the coating composition for metallic yarn react; and making microslits with a thickness of 0.1 to 2 mm on the substrate of a synthetic resin film having the metal deposition layer and the protective layer formed thereon.

CONSTITUTION: A bulletproof fabric for a body armour, comprises: a fabric woven with high molecular weight polyethylene fibers, aramid fibers, or polybenzoxazole fibers; and a water repelling layer on the fabric. The water repelling layer is formed by treating the fabric with a water repelling agent containing fluorocarbon and a crosslinking agent. The crosslinking agent has an isocianate functional group.
