    • PURPOSE: A separation method of silicon dioxide and magnesia from a ferronickel slag and a manufacturing method of silicic acid and a magnesium fertilizer using the separation method are provided to reduce processing costs of the ferronickel slag by manufacturing a fertilizer using the ferronickel slag that is produced while processing ferronickel and to manufacture a high-quality fertilizer by using a slag with abundant minerals. CONSTITUTION: A separation method of silicon dioxide and magnesia from a ferronickel slag comprises steps of: obtaining a ferronickel slag powder by processing a massive ferronickel slag, separating a first filtration solution including magnesium and an insoluble precipitate including silicon dioxide by adding an acid to the ferronickel slag powder, and collecting the magnesium as magnesia by processing the first filtration solution. A pre-processing phase comprises steps of: pulverizing the massive ferronickel slag, sintering after adding lime to the pulverized ferronickel slag, obtaining the ferronickel slag powder by grinding the sintered ferronickel slag, and separating iron and nickel contained in the ferronickel slag powder using magnetic force.
