摘要： PURPOSE: A printing apparatus by using a print head is provided to simplify the arrangement by supplying power of a digital circuit from an outer circuit in case of digital circuit driving voltage to be different from analog circuit driving voltage. CONSTITUTION: A printhead is composed of an element substrate(H1100), and a digital circuit and an analog circuit are formed on the element substrate. The digital circuit includes a printing element and a drive circuit(101) for driving the printing element in accordance with input print data, and the analog circuit includes a detection circuit(121) for obtaining information. A voltage generation circuit(130) generates the voltage for driving the analog circuit. The voltage generation circuit is arranged on the element substrate when the value of the voltage(Vdd) for driving the digital circuit is different from voltage for driving the analog circuit. When the voltage for driving the digital circuit is actually different from the voltage for driving the analog circuit, the voltage for driving the digital circuit is externally supplied except a power supply voltage for the printing element to simplify the overall arrangement.
