    • PURPOSE: A metal catalyst for dehydrogenation is provided to prevent the generation of structural change and the characteristic change of active materials due to heat by increasing the intensity of the catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A metal catalyst for dehydrogenation is used for the dehydrogenation of hydrocarbon. A support for the metal catalyst includes mesopores of 5 to 100nm and macropores of 0.1 to 20um. The active density of platinum in the metal catalyst is in a range between 0.001 and 0.009 weight%/m^2. The catalyst includes 0.05 to 1.5 weight% of platinum, 0.05 to 2.0 weight% of tin, germanium, or gallium, 0.05 to 3.0 weight% of alkali metals or alkali earth metals, 0.1 to 3.0 weight% of a halogen element, and 0.05 to 2.0 weight% of an auxiliary metal based on the total weight of the catalyst. The auxiliary metal is selected form a group including indium, manganese, zirconium, cesium, and cerium. The support is alumina, silica, and the mixture of the same.
