책장(2)과 서랍장(3) 그리고 상판(4)이 조립식으로 구성되는 책상(1)에 있어서, 책장(2)에는 여러 개의 선반(8)을 단계별로 설치할 수 있도록 구성하였고, 서랍장(3)은 큰 것 한 개와 작은 것 한 개 등 두 개로 구성하여 대접부분에 구멍(6)을 형성해 고정핀(5)을 결합할 수 있도록 하였다.
상기의 크고 작은 서랍장(3)의 전면폭(B)은 같게 하면서 작은 것의 높이(A)는 전면폭(B)을 보다 더 높게 구성하였다.
이상과 같은 본 고안은 책상을 구성하는 상판의 높이를 상, 중, 하 3단계 이상으로 조절하여 어린이의 성장단계에 맞추어 알맞게 사용할 수 있기 때문에 어릴 때 책상을 한번 구입하면 학업을 마칠 때까지 영구적으로 사용할 수 있어 경제적이고 또 조기에 책상에서 학습하는 습관을 가지게하여 성장한 후에도 책상을 기피하는 현상을 미연에 예방하는 효과가 있다.
