The vinyl cyan-butadiene-vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer comprises a vinyl cyan-butadiene-vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon graft copolymer and a vinyl cyan- vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer.

Preferably the rubber of the rubber-reinforced polystyrene resin is a polybutadiene, a styrene-butadiene copolymer or a butadiene-isoprene copolymer; and the polyphenylene ether-based resin is a homopolymer or copolymer of the monomer represented by the formula 1, wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently Cl, Br, I, a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group, an allyl group, a phenyl group, a methylbenzyl group, a chloromethyl group, a bromomethyl group, a cyanoethyl group, a cyano group, a methoxy group, a phenoxy group or a nitro group.

    • PURPOSE: A rubber modified styrene flame retardant resin composition is provided, to improve the heat stability and the weather resistance and to prevent the discoloration due to the heat or light and the deterioration of mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION: The rubber modified styrene resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight a rubber modified styrene-based resin; 0.2-20 parts by weight of a flame retardant comprising 0.1-10 parts by weight of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of tetrabromobisphenol-A-bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether) and hexabromocyclododecane, and 0.1-10 parts by weight of a brominated epoxy oligomer; and 0.1-3 parts by weight of calcium stearate as a lubricant. Preferably the rubber modified styrene-based resin is prepared by polymerizing a rubbery polymer and a vinyl-based aromatic monomer, and has an average particle diameter of 0.5-6 micrometers and a maximum glass transition temperature of -10 deg.C. Preferably the brominated epoxy oligomer is represented by the formula, wherein n is an integer of 0-10.

The styrene-based graft copolymer comprises 3-30 wt% of a soft component particle having the cis 1,4-bond in butadiene chain of diene-based rubber by 70 wt% or more; and 70-97 wt% of styrene-based resin matrix. Preferably the soft component particle is polybutadiene or styrene-butadiene copolymer, and the glass transition temperature is less than -30 deg.C.

    • PURPOSE: Provided is a fire retardant styrene resin composition excellent in fire retardancy and transparency, which maintains its physical properties such as impact resistance, chemical resistance, and processibility. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises (a) 100 parts by weight of transparent rubber modified styrene resin comprising (i) 5-20 parts by weight of butadiene rubber or styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, (ii) 20-50 parts by weight of styrene monomer, and (iii) 30-65 parts by weight of acrylic acid ester monomer; and (b) 5-30 parts by weight of triazine based compound represented by formula 1, as fire retardants. The composition further comprises 5-30 parts by weight of phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formulae 2-5. In the formulae, each of R1 to R11 is a C6-C20 aryl group containing an alkyl group or substituted alkyl group of C1-C8, and each of m and n is an integer of at least 1.
