    • A display device having a multi-touch recognition function and a driving method thereof are provided to generate a data packet suitable for multi-touch input, and optimize a circuit for controlling an LCD module and processing a touch recognition signal by preventing a touch recognition error with a new ID code assigned to coordinate data even if an interface between a control board and a system omits to transfer the ID code. Source and gate drivers(11,12) respectively drive data and gate lines(G1-Gn,D1-Dm) of an LCD panel(10). A plurality of cameras(21A-21D) are arranged to each corner of a display screen of the LCD panel. A control board(30) displays a background image on the LCD panel by controlling the source and gate drivers, and calculates coordinates of each touch position touched on the LCD panel by using images captured by the cameras. A system(40) generates a touch data packet adding an ID code of each touch position to the coordinates, and provides a timing signal and digital video data including the touch images corresponding to each touch position to the control board. The control board includes a timing controller(31) and a multi-touch processor(32).

An image output unit(404) displays the 3D image signal from the gaze distance adjustment unit.

To achieve the objective of the present invention, the timing controller comprises a logo detection unit which detects a logo region by comparing frames; an edge detection unit which detects an edge of the logo region using a variation in brightness between the logo region and the outer region of the logo region, wherein the edge defines a boundary between the logo region and an outer region,; a brightness correction unit which reduces the brightness of the logo region including the edge; and an output unit which outputs image data whose brightness is corrected by the brightness correction unit.
