    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and method of producing the same are provided to enhance contrast by forming a plurality of black matrixes on a front surface and defining an electric discharge cell. CONSTITUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a front substrate(21) on which a common electrode(23) and a scanning electrode(24) are formed; and a rear substrate(22) on which address electrodes(28) are formed. A partition(200) is formed between the address electrodes(28) on the rear substrate(22). Fluorescence material layers(210) having the red color, the green color and the blue color are formed at an inner side portion of the partition(200). The method of producing the plasma display panel comprises the steps of preparing the front substrate(21); forming the common electrode(23) and the scanning electrode(24) on the front substrate(21); forming the first black matrix(220) at the non-electric discharge section between the electric discharge cells and forming the second black matrix(230); forming a dielectric layer for filling up the electrodes, the first and the second black matrix; and forming a protective layer(27) on the dielectric layer.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel having improved black matrix structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the reflection of external light on the front board, prevent the discoloring of the silver-coated electrode, and prevent the dispersing the color in the none-discharge area. CONSTITUTION: A common electrode(110) and a projection electrode(120) made of ITO, which are transparent, form discharge cells on top of the front board(100). The discharge cells form multiple layers on the front board(100). Bus electrodes(111,121) are formed on the common electrode(110) and the projection electrode(120) to reduce the line resistance. And a dielectric layer(150) is formed to protect the electrodes. On the top, an Mgo layer is formed to protect the front board. On the bottom board, discharge spaces are formed between a dielectric layer(150). barrier layers(170) are formed to prevent cross talk and phosphors are formed in the discharge spaces.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to remove a possibility of a short in forming process of the bus electrodes and reduce costs by making manufacture processes simple, while reducing a lighting discharge peak current. CONSTITUTION: First electrodes(31) are formed in stripe shape spaced from the each other at the upper surface of a rear substrate(30). A dielectric layer(32) is formed at the upper surface of the rear substrate(30) so as to cover the first electrodes(31). Barrier ribs(40) are formed in straight line at the upper surface of the dielectric layer(32) and is separated from the each other in the same direction with the first electrodes(31). Phosphor layers(50) include phosphors of red, green and blue deposited between the barrier ribs(40). The rear substrate(30) is connected with a front substrate(60) and seals the discharge space divided by the barrier rib(40). Second electrodes(61) and third electrodes(62) are formed inside of the front substrate(60) in orthogonal direction with the first electrodes(31).
