    • The present invention relates to a synthetic wood with a surface printed layer and to a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the appearance and physical properties of the wood can be improved by transferring a printed layer on a surface of the wood and performing UV hardening. For achieving this, the present invention comprises the steps of: pulverizing a hardwood or wood chips to prepare a wood powder; putting a polymer resin into the wood powder, followed by high-temperature kneading, to prepare a mixture; performing extrusion-molding on the mixture to prepare a synthetic wood; forming a surface printed layer on an upper surface of the synthetic wood; and UV-hardening the synthetic wood with the surface printed layer. According to the present invention, the printed layer is transferred to the surface of the wood, followed by UV hardening, to manufacture the synthetic wood, thereby displaying a detailed appearance of the wood, improving physical properties of the wood, and using the synthetic wood as interior materials.

    • PURPOSE: A synthetic lumber having an excellent fire retardance and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain maximum fire retardance by using a minimum amount of expandable graphite. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a synthetic lumber(300) having an excellent fire retardance comprises the following steps: pulverizing one of natural woods which is selected from broad-leaved tree, needle-leaf tree and bamboo into pieces having particle size of 100 mesh and greater; forming natural wood powder; adding 60-90 wt% of the natural wood powder to a mixer; primarily stirring at 90-110 deg. Celsius for 10-20 minutes until the water content becomes 1-10 wt%; secondly stirring at 70-100 deg. Celsius for 1-10 minutes after mixing 1-15 wt% of expandable graphite to the mixer; mixing 5-35 wt% of polypropylene or HDPE to the mixer; thirdly stirring at 80-100 deg. Celsius for 1-10 minutes; manufacturing the composition in pellet form; manufacturing the synthetic lumber by passing the pellet through an extruder having a temperature range of 140-180 deg. Celsius; forming the surface layer on the surface of the synthetic lumber material.
