    • Disclosed is a surface-treated steel sheet having a surface treatment film containing a metal compound containing titanium, a metal compound containing magnesium, a cationic urethane resin having at least one cationic functional group selected from primary to tertiary amino groups and quaternary ammonium salt groups, and a cationic phenol polycondensate having a cationic functional group, which is a polycondensation product between a phenol compound and an aldehyde. The titanium content in the surface treatment film is 1-4% by mass relative to the total solid content; the magnesium content in the surface treatment film is 0.2-2% by mass relative to the total solid content; the cationic urethane resin content in the surface treatment film is 20-35% by mass relative to the total solid content; and the cationic phenol polycondensate content in the surface treatment film is 25-40% by mass relative to the total solid content. The mass ratio between the cationic urethane resin and the cationic phenol polycondensate is from 33.3:66.7 to 49:51. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009

    • A Cr^3+ coating material with improved corrosion resistance and a preparing method thereof are provided to prevent corrosion of metal coating and white phenomenon and to produce an environmentally-friendly material for replacing Cr^6+ coating material. A preparing method of Cr^3+ coating material comprises a step of producing a solution in which Cr^3+ of 0.25~0.5 mol/L is dissolved, and a step of making pH of the solution into 1.3~2.7 by using an oxidizer. The Cr^3+ contains more than one kind selected from the group consisting of KCr(SO4)2.12H2O, CrCl3, CrF3, Cr(OH)3, Cr(NO3)3, CrPO4 and FeCr2O4. The oxidizer contains containing more than one kind selected among HNO3, H2SO4, HI, HBr, HCl and HF.
