    • A system and a method for the wireless communication of the uncompressed video having a relay device for saving power are provided to set a power level low as much as the level capable of communicating with a desired receiver by a gradual power rising technique. A process for setting a power transmission level of a portable device as the lowest value, for example, 0 dBM is performed(410). A probe message counter for maintaining the tracking related to the frequency of transmission at the given transmission power level is set as the initial value of 0. Thereafter, a process for discriminating whether the presently set transmission power level exceeds the maximum power level is performed(420).       본 발명에 의하면, AP는 주기적으로 LMTP(Local Maximum Transmit Power)를 갖는 비콘 프레임을 송신하여 현재의 AP가 갖는 송신전력 범위 밖에 존재하는 단말에게 BSS(Basic Service Set)의 정보를 제공하여 새롭게 접근하는 단말도 BSS에 원할하게 어소시에이션을 하여 통신을 할 수 있는 기초를 제공할 수 있다.

    • Pilot signal transmission sequences and methods are described for use in a multi-sector cell. Pilots in different sectors are transmitted at different known power levels. In adjacent sectors a pilot is transmitted while no pilot is transmitted in the adjoining sector. This represents transmission of a NULL pilot signal. A cell NULL is also supported in which NULL pilots are transmitted in each sector of a cell at the same time. Multiple pilot signal measurements are made. At least two channel quality indicator values are generated from measurements corresponding to at least two pilot signals of different power levels. The two values are transmitted back to the base station which uses both values to determine the transmit power required to achieve a desired SNR at the wireless terminal. The wireless terminal also reports information indicating its location to a sector boundary.

CONSTITUTION: A node B determines an HS-DSCH indicator for informing whether an HSDPA data packet exists(1702). The node B checks over whether the HS-DSCH indicator is turned on(1703). If the HS-DSCH indicator is turned on, the node B determines an MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level for determining a modulation scheme and a channel coding method of the DSDPA data packet transmitted through an HS-DSCH(1705). The node B checks over whether an HS-DSCH modulation scheme is a QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) with reference to the determined MCS level(1706). The HS-DSCH modulation scheme is the QAM, the node B determines the maximum level and the minimum level of an HS-DSCH power(1707). The node B determines an HS-DSCH power level using the maximum level and the minimum level of the HS-DSCH power(1708). The node B transmits the determined HS-DSCH power level through a DPCH(Dedicated Physical CHannel) or an SHCCH(SHared Control CHannel)(1709).
