    • PURPOSE: A sheet treating apparatus, a method of mounting sheet treating apparatus, and an image forming apparatus, are provided to easily and precisely mount the sheet treating apparatus in a sheet delivery space in the image forming apparatus, and to increase the number of sheets capable of being accumulated in a sheet delivery unit. CONSTITUTION: A sheet treating apparatus is mountable in a space portion of an image forming apparatus(100) including an image-forming portion(1) for forming an image on a sheet and an image-reading portion(3) for reading an image of an original. The image-reading portion is disposed above the image-forming portion. The sheet is delivered in the space portion formed between the image-forming portion and the image-reading portion. In the sheet treating apparatus, a connection path unit is connected with a sheet delivery path for delivering the sheet from the image-forming portion, and is mounted in the space portion from the outside of a side surface of a main body(101) of the image forming apparatus. And a sheet-treating unit(200) mounted in the space portion from the front side of the main body of the image forming apparatus performs a treatment of the sheet transported from the connection path unit.

    • The transfer wheel comprises a transfer wheel body having three slots arranged at 120 deg. angles around central rotating shaft hole of the transfer wheel. A guide portion guides the pin trays. The transfer wheel also includes three pairs of insert wheels, each pair comprising two types of insert wheels mounted adjacent each other between the slots in order to alternatively lift and push the pin tray to move the slot liner of a side plate. The transfer wheel separates copies at every one-third rotation of the wheel, which causes an upper and a low waiting pin tray to be positioned within the radius of rotation of the wheel.
