    • PURPOSE: A tire bar code printing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to directly print a bar code on a tire by the automatically controlled apparatus, thereby automating the whole procedure and saving manpower. CONSTITUTION: A tire bar code printing apparatus includes a tire conveying element(1) such as a roll-conveyor for conveying a tire(6) in one direction, a tire sensing element(3) for sensing supply of the tire by the conveying element, a tire stopping element(2) for stopping the tire at a set position, a bar code printing element(4) for printing a bar code on the tire stopped at the set position, and a control element(5) for automatically controlling the operations of the above elements, wherein the bar code printing element includes a horizontal guiding shaft(41) fixed on the tire conveying element crossing the tire advancing direction by 90°, a first conveying element(42) for reciprocating along the horizontal guiding shaft, a vertical guiding shaft(43) fixed on the first conveying element by crossing the first conveying element by 90°for forming a right angle with the tire advancing direction, a second conveying element(44) movably fixed to the vertical guiding shaft to reciprocate along the vertical guiding shaft, a distance sensor(45) for sensing a distance from the tire to output a signal to the control element, and an injection nozzle(46) for printing a bar code on the tire under the control of the control element.
