    • A method and system for providing a position detection service by using a frequency offset are provided to enhance accuracy of a location detection service by recognizing a repeater of a cell and a location of a mobile terminal in an in-building environment. A distributor(204) receives a signal transmitted from a base station, splits the signal into a plurality of distribution signals, and distributes them to one or more paths. A frequency offset generating unit(202) receives the distribution signal and gives a frequency offset to the distribution signal to generate an offset application signal. A base station(208) receives a modulation signal which has been modulated in synchronization with the offset application signal, extracts the frequency offset, and generates location information including the frequency offset. A position detection server(214) receives the location information and calculates a location of a mobile terminal by using the location information.

    • PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for monitoring a wireless signal in a wireless communication system are provided to easily measure a signal waveform and a power about an input signal and an output signal of a transceiver without a measurement equipment with a high price. CONSTITUTION: A signal extracting unit(10) extracts a signal of a band which a user wishes for monitoring among signals from a base station system. A signal power measuring unit(20) detects a power level from the signal extracted by the signal extracting unit(10). An A/D converting unit(30) converts an analog signal outputted from the signal power measuring unit(20) into a digital signal. A key input unit(40) inputs the band of the signal which the user wishes for monitoring and sets a desired processing method. A signal processing control unit(50) processes the signal outputted from the A/D converting unit(30) according to the signal band and the processing method inputted through the key input unit(40). A display unit(60) displays contents processed in the signal processing control unit(50). A communication unit(70) transmits the monitored result of the signal band to an other system using a communication line.
