    • PURPOSE: A gap variable cooling fan shroud assembly is provided to precisely control a gap between a fan shroud and a cooling fan according to the vehicle information, thereby minimizing the fuel consumption. CONSTITUTION: A gap variable cooling fan shroud assembly comprises a cooling fan(10), a driving shroud(20), a fixing shroud(30), a hydraulic cylinder(40), and a control unit(50). The cooling fan is installed in between an engine and a radiator and rotated by a driving motor. The driving shroud is arranged to surround the cooling fan while being spaced at a predetermined space in a radial direction of the cooling fan and to regulate the spaced distance along an axial direction. A part of the outer periphery of the fixing shroud is overlapped with the driving shroud in order to support the inner periphery of the driving shroud, and one end of the fixing shroud is fixed to the radiator. The hydraulic cylinder is moved back and forth towards the hydraulic piston which fixes one end portion of the outer periphery of the driving shroud. The control unit includes a temperature sensor capable of sensing the temperature of the radiator and controls the driving shroud to be slid along the axial direction of the fixing shroud according to the temperature input by the temperature sensor.
