    • PURPOSE: A method for detecting a real-time multi-path error in a positioning receiver using a satellite and a positioning apparatus using the same are provided to avoid the multi-path error by detecting permutation variance according to a difference between a time increment of a pseudo range and a time increment of an accumulated carrier phase. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of satellite signal receivers are used for receiving satellite signals transmitted from satellites. A plurality of filters are used for filtering the signals received through channels of the plural receivers. A plurality of multi-path detectors are used for computing the permutation of a difference between a time increment of a pseudo range and a time increment of an accumulated carrier phase for the measured values received from the plural channels. The multi-path detectors identifies the presence of the multi-path noise of the corresponding channel on the basis of a variation of the computed permutation. A plurality of selectors are used for restraining the selection of the corresponding channel according to output values of the multi-path detectors.

    • PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal capable of continual determination by mounting a GPS and an INS, and a method for determination are provided to transmit urgent location information in real time and supply continual real time determination information, and accurate indoor determination. CONSTITUTION: The state of a GPS and the determination possibility of a CDMA regarding to current location information are determined. A communication module and a signal processing module of a mobile communication terminal receive a GPS signal and a mobile communication signal for measuring pseudo range to a GPS satellite and pseudo range between base stations. An INS unit(9) embedding an acceleration censor and a gyro sensor performs initial alignment of the mobile communication terminal using sensor information. The INS unit(9) calculates location information of the mobile communication terminal by using sensor information in a dead reckoning. The INS unit(9) calculates Doppler estimation value for a GPS receiver(7) by using the dead reckoning, acceleration, and direction information. A microprocessor(6) of the mobile communication terminal mixes reciprocal information for performing GPS/INS mixed navigation algorithm enabling continual determination.

A terminal(110) receives a satellite signal from a GPS satellite(101) through a radio communication network and is installed in a vehicle by a user. The side server is comprised in a communication network and grasps a position of the user terminal. The GPS base station generates a correction value and helping information using the satellite signal received from the GPS satellite, and calculates a pseudo distance by processing a sampled intermediate frequency signal when it is temporarily synchronized to the user terminal. A navigation solution is obtained by calculating a position of the satellite by the pseudo distance.

A location filter(8) is used for correcting the location of the person by combining the location information from the GPS receiver(1) with the information from the velocity filter(6) and the direction filter(7).
