    • 블록합병기술의 적용에 의해 물체경계블록에서 물체밖블록이 된 블록의 DC계수와 AC 계수를 합병정보에 의해 설정하고 그 설정된 계수를 이용하여 주변블록의 DC계수와 AC 계수를 예측하는 영상정보 부호화/복호화 장치 및 그 방법을 제공한다. 영상정보 부호화장치는 합병정보에 의해 DC성분과 AC성분들에 대한 값을 설정하여 주변블록의 DC계수와 AC계수를 예측 부호화하는데 이용한다. 영상정보 복호화장치는 합병정보에 의해 DC성분과 AC성분들에 대한 값을 설정하여 주변블록의 DC계수와 AC계수를 예측 복호화하는데 이용한다. 그 방법으로서는 물체 합병기술을 수행후, 합병에 의해 물체밖 블록으로 변화된 블록은 예측을 하지않고, 합병에 의해 합쳐진 신호를 포함한 블록을 DCT변환하고 그 DC값을 이용하여 DC예측을 한다. 또한 물체밖 블록으로 변화된 블록은 예측을 하지않고, AC/DC 예측을 위해 합병된 블록의 양자화된 DCT계수(DC 및 AC계수)를 현재의 서브블록에 복사한다. 다른 방법은 합병된 블록의 양자화된 DCT계수중 DC계수만을 복사하고, AC계수는 0으로 설정한다. 또 다른 방법은 DC계수는 2
      (bits_per_pixel-1) 로 설정하고 AC계수는 0으로 설정한다. 또 다른 방법은 좌측블록과 상측블록중에 물체밖블록이 아닌 블록이 있다면 그 블록의 AC계수 및 DC계수를 현재의 서브블록에 복사한다.

    • PURPOSE: The method and apparatus for detecting texture are provided to rapidly detect texture by using extracted texture characteristic which is invariant in scale through a Gabor filter in which parameter is controlled. CONSTITUTION: A power spectrum estimating part(120) estimates a power spectrum from an inputting texture image. A sale estimating part(130) estimates a scale in the power spectrum obtaining from the power spectrum estimating part(120). A texture characteristic extracting part(140) extracts a texture image characteristic value according to the scale value obtaining from the texture characteristic extracting part(140). A texture detecting part(150) detects the texture by comparing the image characteristic value obtained from the characteristic extracting part(140) and the image characteristic processed in database. Thereby, the texture is detected exactly and easily by extracting the characteristic value which is invariant in scale by using a Gabor filter.

If the present MB mode is not the last MB mode, the above steps are repeated. If the present MB mode is the last MB mode, a no-MC ratio, an intra ratio of no-MC, and an MC ratio are calculated.
