    • PURPOSE: A catalyst for carbon monoxide selective oxidization and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the long term stability of the catalyst and to efficiently eliminate carbon monoxide. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a catalyst for carbon monoxide selective oxidization includes a process in which copper is carried in a ceria carrier of an octahedral crystalline structure. The carrying amount of the copper is 0.5 to 15 weight% based on the total weight of the catalyst. When the carbon monoxide selective oxidization is implemented under a temperature between 100 and 200 degrees Celsius, the conversion rate of carbon monoxide is more than or equal to 60%. The carbon monoxide selective oxidization includes a reaction represented by reaction formula 1.

    • PURPOSE: A metal/nickel-yttria-stabilized zirconia composite for a fuel cell, a manufacturing method thereof, and a fuel cell using thereof are provided to use the composite as a negative electrode catalyst with the carbon poisoning resistance. CONSTITUTION: A metal/nickel-yttria-stabilized zirconia composite for a fuel cell contains a nickel oxide doped with a metal and yttria-stabilized zirconia. The content of the metal is 0.0001~20wt% of for the amount of nickel. A manufacturing method of the metal/nickel-yttria-stabilized zirconia composite comprises the following steps: impregnating metal salt to the surface of the nickel oxide; adding the yttria-stabilized zirconia and mixing with alcohol for wet milling; spray-drying the wet-milled solution to form powder; and high temperature sintering the powder before reducing.
