    • The present invention relates to an air conditioner and a control method thereof. The air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a compressor; a high-pressure sensor which detects the high pressure from a refrigerant compressed in the compressor; a condenser which condenses the refrigerant compressed in the compressor; a super-cooling heat exchanger which super-cools the refrigerant condensed in the condenser; an injection path which injects the refrigerant that has undergone a heat exchange process in the super-cooling heat exchanger into the compressor; and a bypass path which is selectively connected to the injection path based on the information detected by the high-pressure sensor. The bypass path guides the refrigerant from the injection path to the suction side of the compressor.
