    • An electrolyte composition for a dye-sensitized solar cell, a dye-sensitized solar cell including the same, and methods for manufacturing the same are provided to enhance the quantum efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell by improving ion conductivity of the transmitted composition in the cell. A dye-sensitized solar cell includes a first electrode(11), an optical absorption layer(12), a second electrode(14), and an electrolyte(13). The optical absorption layer is formed on a surface of the first electrode. The optical absorption layer includes porous layer having oxide semiconductor particles, and dye, which is absorbed in the porous layer. The second electrode is arranged to face the first electrode in which the optical absorption layer is formed. The electrolyte is embedded in a space between the first electrode and the second electrode. The electrolyte includes an electrolyte of lower viscosity embedded in the porous layer and an electrolyte of higher viscosity embedded in a space between the porous layer and the second electrode.
