    • The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for managing a memory. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for managing a memory comprises the steps of: receiving a memory allocation request; first mapping an address value of a physical address space to a consecutive primary virtual address space; and secondly mapping the address value of the primary virtual address space to one of a first secondary virtual address space or a second secondary virtual address space to process a new memory allocation request upon memory fragmentation. According to the present invention, when a memory allocation request cannot be processed due to an occurrence of memory fragmentation, the problem of memory fragmentation may be solved by moving active memory blocks.

    • PURPOSE: A terminal and a method for performing an application in the terminal are provided to prevent a workload from being leant on a processing unit by allocating an application to a CPU or a GPU(Graphic Processing Unit) according to a weighted valued designated by a user. If a code of an application is inputted, a CPU(110) confirms a weighted value of the application stored in the workload control information table to calculate an allocation index and selects a processing device to perform the application. A GPU(Graphic Processing Unit)(120) performs the application through a binary delivered from the CPU. The CPU confirms a priority processing mode included in the workload control information table and a processing threshold value according to the priority processing mode and compares the processing threshold value with the allocation value to select the processing device.
