    • PURPOSE: A dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell is provided to improve photo-electric conversion efficiency and increase open voltage when applied to a light absorption layer for a solar cell. CONSTITUTION: A dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell comprises a compound indicated in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, each of A and B is selected from a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon, substituted or unsubstituted aromatic rings and combinations thereof. In chemical formula 1, each of A and B is selected from a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic rings, and combinations thereof, A and/or B is a fluorenyl group, C is an indeno[1,2-b]thiophene group, and E is an acidic group. A dye-sensitized solar cell comprises a first electrode which comprises a conductive transparent substrate, a light-absorbing layer formed on one side of the first electrode, a second electrode arranged to face the first electrode; and an electrolyte arranged between the electrodes. The light-absorbing layer comprises a semiconductor particle and the dye.

    • PURPOSE: A ruthenium-based dye for dye-sensitized solar battery is provided to have excellent molar light absorption coefficient, short circuit photoelectricity density(Jsc), photoelectricity converting efficiency, and long time stability because of the intrinsic stability of a ruthenium composite cyclic metalized by C-N-N ligand, and red-shifted light absorption properties. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a ruthenium-based dye comprises: a step of manufacturing a compound in chemical formula 4 by reacting a compound in chemical formula 3 with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid; a step of manufacturing a compound in chemical formula 5 by reacting the compound in chemical formula 4 with POClO3; a step of manufacturing a compound in chemical formula 6 by reacting the compound in chemical formula 5 with 2,4- difluorophenylboric acid pinacol ester or 2,4-- dichlorophenylboronic acid pinacol ester; a step of manufacturing a compound in chemical formula 7 by reacting the compound in chemical formula 6 with methanol and potassium hydroxide; and a step of manufacturing a compound in chemical formula 1 by reacting the compound in chemical formula 7 with Ru(Cl)2(p-cymene)]2, a compound in chemical formula 8, and ammonium thiocyanate in order.
