A translational motion and a rotational motion of each micro-mirror of the micro-mirror array lens are controlled. The micro-mirrors of the micro-mirror array lens are aligned to form at least one concentric circle.

    • A micromirror array lens is provided to improve an optical efficiency of the micromirror array lens by enlarging an effective reflection region by forming the lens in a sector-like shape. A micromirror array lens(31) includes plural micromirrors(34). The micromirror array lens reproduces a predetermined free surface by controlling a rotational movement, a translational movement, or both of the rotational and translational movements of the micromirrors. The predetermined free surface of the micromirror array lens is changed by the rotational movement, the translational movement, or both of the rotational and translational movements of the micromirrors. A direction and an amount of the rotational movement of the micromirror are determined by a slope of the free surface. The translational movements of the micromirrors are controlled, such that the respective translational movements satisfy the same phase condition.
