Upon rightward rotation of the driving motor, the spring clutch adheres to the driving shaft and power is simultaneously transmitted to the driving shaft and the downward dehydrating shaft. Thus, dehydrating action is performed. Upon leftward rotation of the driving motor, power is transmitted to the driving shaft except the dehydrating shaft. Then, the pulsator rotates to the left and right. Thus, washing action is performed. Therefore, need for an additional power transmission or switching device is removed and structure is compacted.
