    • An isotropic carbon material with excellent friction stability and high density that is suitably used as machinery seals is provided, and a manufacturing method of the isotropic carbon material comprising heat-treating pitch, thereby controlling volatile content of the pitch to obtain self-sinterability, and adding anisotropic graphite powder to improve friction stability of the carbon material is provided. An isotropic carbon material comprises pitch of which a volatile content is controlled to 8 to 12% by weight through heat treatment. The isotropic carbon material further comprises 1 to 10% by weight of an anisotropic graphite powder relative to the pitch weight. The pitch has a volatile content controlled to 8 to 12% by weight by heat-treating the pitch at 460 to 500 deg.C for 4 to 6 hours. The isotropic carbon material has a density value of at least 1.8 g/cm^3 after graphitizing the isotropic carbon material. In a manufacturing method of an isotropic carbon material comprising pitch, the manufacturing method comprises the step of heat-treating the pitch at 460 to 500 deg.C for 4 to 6 hours to control a volatile content of the pitch to 8 to 12% by weight. The manufacturing method further comprises the step of powdering the pitch of which the volatile content has been controlled through the heat treatment process, molding the powder, and carbonizing and graphitizing the molded powder. Further, the heat-treating step is performed by stirring the pitch at 80 to 120 rpm under an inert condition.

    • 본 발명은 폐 배터리 재생 처리 과정에서 발생하는 연진을 재활용하기 위하여 가압 성형에 의한 연진 성형체를 제조할 때 연진을 결합시켜주는 연진 성형용 분말상 탄소질 점결제의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 불활성가스를 매분 원료피치 1g 당 10cc 이하의 범위로 공급하며 상기 원료피치를 250∼350[℃]의 온도로 열처리하여 연화점이 120∼200[℃]이고, C/H 원자비가 1.8∼2.5[중량%]이고, QI 함량이 20∼35[중량%]이며, 소성후의 잔사율이 50% 이상인 고형피치를 제조하는 단계와; 상기 고형피치를 입자크기가 500㎛ 이하가 되도록 분말상으로 분쇄하는 단계를 거쳐 분말상 탄소질 점결제를 제조한다. 이와 같이 제조된 분말상 탄소질 점결제는 연진 성형체의 제조시 결합재 및 탄소원으로 사용되어 연진 성형체의 제조 원가를 낮추고, 제조 완료된 연진 성형체의 품질을 향상시키며, 설비의 부식을 억제시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.
