CONSTITUTION: A method for refining molten steel includes: a step of preparing the molten steel; a step(S210) of dehydrogenating the molten steel using an RH(Reinstahl Huten Werke Heraus); and a step(S220) of feeding a re-carburizer inside the molten steel when the pressure inside the RH is maintained between 50 and 150 torrs. In the step(S210), the pressure inside the RH is maintained at 2 torrs or less, and inert gas is fed into the RH. In the step(S220), the number of times for feeding the total desired amount of the re-carburizer is multiple.     • PURPOSE: A refining method for high purity stainless steel is provided to secure desulfurization reaction as well as to suppress generation of a high melting point slag, thereby reducing defects on a product surface and producing high purity steel. CONSTITUTION: A refining method for high purity stainless steel includes the following steps: a step of firstly refining molten steel in an AOD puddling furnace; a step of firstly tapping the molten steel; a step of removing a slag formed on the top of the firstly tapped molten steel; a step of secondly refining the molten steel from which the slag is removed; and a step of secondly tapping the molten steel. In the first tapping step of the molten steel, tapping temperature is controlled and in the second refining step, the amount of Si oxidation and the amount of CaO injection are controlled. The tapping temperature in the first tapping step of the molten steel is 1600°C - 1670°C.The amount of Si oxidation in the second refining step is 0.55%-0.75%, which is high purity. The final target basicity of the slag in the second refining step is 1.0-1.3. The amount of CaO injection in the second refining step is determined in consideration of the basicity of 0.7-1.0.
