    • A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to perform a stable reset discharge by supplying second and third main reset pulses during an (i+1)-th frame. A plasma display device includes a PDP(Plasma Display Panel,110), a controller(102), and a driving unit(106). The controller divides one frame into plural sub-fields, each of which includes a reset period, an address period, and a sustain period, and alternatively drives i-th and (i+1)-th frames. The driving unit supplies at least one main reset pulses to the PDP during a reset period of the i-th frame, and supplies main reset pulses to the (i+1)-th frame. The number of the main reset pulses for the (i+1)-frame is greater than that for the i-th frame. A waveform of the main reset pulse during the reset period of the i-th frame is different from that during the (i+1)-th frame.

    • A plasma display device is provided to improve image quality of the display device by removing bright spots at borders of afterimages by increasing the difference between a set-down minimum voltage and a bias voltage. A plasma display device applies a reset signal to a first electrode and a predetermined voltage to a second electrode during a set-down signal application period. The reset signal consists of a set-up signal and the set-down signal. A difference between the minimum value of the set-down signal and the voltage applied to the second voltage lies between 1.2 and 1.5 times the magnitude of a sustain voltage. The absolute value of the minimum set-down signal is smaller than a half of the sustain voltage. The absolute value of the voltage applied to the second electrode is smaller than the sustain voltage.
