    • A CMOS image sensor and an image data processing method are provided to minimize a pitch of unit pixels of the image sensor by insulating adjacent wells or adjacent elements, and improve a charge capacitance by forming a capacitor in a trench. A photoelectric transformation photo-PMOS(210) includes a well doped with the second type impurity and generates an electrical signal upon receiving light. A select NMOS(230) outputs a signal which has been received from the photoelectric transformation photo-PMOS. A reset NMOS(220) applies a reset signal to the photoelectric transformation photo-PMOS. A capacitor(240) accumulates charges received from the photoelectric transformation photo-PMOS. The photoelectric transformation photo-PMOS includes a color filter at an upper portion thereof to implement a color image, and adjusts the thickness of a gate electrode to implement a color image.

    • An image sensor with an anti-saturation function of pixel unit is provided to prevent generation of white phenomenon caused by saturation by increasing a floating diffusion area to lower a voltage level per an image sensor of pixel unit, thereby preventing deterioration of color reproducibility of other areas and improving screen quality. An image sensor with an anti-saturation function of pixel unit includes a saturation sensing element formed of an inverter(31) and a feedback line(32), wherein the saturation sensing element receives an output voltage from a driver transistor(Q4), and determines an image sensor as being saturated when the output voltage exceeds a threshold level. A switching element such as an anti-saturation transistor(Q3) carries out on/off switching according to the determination of the saturation sensing element. A plurality of floating diffusion elements(FD1,FD2) is connected to photodiodes(PD) and gates of the driver transistor simultaneously according to the on/off operation of the switching element, and stores charges of the photodiodes, which are transferred by the switching element.
