    • A structure for preventing partial abrasion of the guide-roller of ATM is provided to reveres rotate of the direction of transferring a note without an additional motor rotating a guide roller by using inertial force which is generated when a motor is stopped. A pick-up roller(61) separates a paper currency by sheet while being connected with a rotary shaft by a belt. The driving force of a motor is delivered through a pick up roller gear coupled with the rotary shaft. A feed roller(62) transfers the separated paper currency while being coupled with a feed roller shaft. A connection gear is coupled with the end of the feed roller shaft. A guide roller is installed so that the feed roller and outer circumference overlap by a constant thickness, therefore the separation of two papers is prevented.

    • A media separating apparatus and a media separating method are provided to transfer media in a favorable condition through a media automatic dispenser. A feed roller(26) is rotatably installed at a first bracket and transfers a media while being closely attached to one side of the media. A contra roller is rotatably installed at a second bracket which is located at a top of the first bracket. The contra roller enables the media to be transferred one by one. A sensing unit adjusts the rotation direction of the contra roller by detecting whether the media enters or is exhausted between the feed roller and the contra roller.

The ultrasonic transmission unit generates an ultrasonic wave of a constant frequency and transmits the ultrasonic wave. An ultrasonic reception unit(150) receives the ultrasonic wave from the ultrasonic transmission unit. An analysis/detection unit detects and amplifies the intensity of the signal received from the ultrasonic reception unit, converts the amplified signal to a digital signal, analyzes the intensity of the signal, and detects an attached position, a length, and a width of a tape.
