    • The invention provides a deodorant excellent in the deodorization performance against aldehyde gases such as acetaldehyde and formaldehyde and a deodorant having excellent deodorization performance even against various bad smells other than aldehyde gases. The invention has been accomplished on the basis of the finding that a mixture of an inorganic powder with an aminoguanidine salt has excellent deodorization performance against aldehyde gases. This mixture exerts deodorization performance in a wide temperature range. Further, it has been also found that a product obtained by heating the mixture is usable as a deodorant excellent in water resistance. Substrates containing the deodorant are suppressed in the emission of aldehyde gases from the substrates. That is to say, the invention relates to a deodorant against aldehyde gases consisting of a mixture which is composed of an aminoguanidine salt and an inorganic powder and whose aqueous suspensions have pH of 1 to 7.

    • An adsorbent prepared using water purification sludge is provided to form an adsorption film having a high heavy metal-adsorbing power on surfaces of water purification sludge particles even at a low temperature by increasing particle size, absorptivity and activity of the water purification sludge and controlling a proper Al/Si molar ratio of the adsorption film before forming the adsorption film on a surface of water purification sludge, and a method for preparing the same is provided. An adsorbent prepared using water purification sludge is characterized in that an adsorption film is formed on a surface of the water purification sludge by controlling an Al/Si molar ratio of water purification sludge having a particle size of 4000 to 6000 cm^2/g and a water content of 3 to 7% to a range of 1 to 1.5. A method for preparing an adsorbent prepared using water purification sludge comprises the steps of: activating a surface of water purification sludge to prepare pre-treated water purification sludge; and controlling an Al/Si molar ratio of the pre-treated water purification sludge to a range of 1 to 1.5. The pre-treated water purification sludge preparing step is carried out by applying a magnetic impact to water purification sludge to crush the water purification sludge into powder having a particles size of 4000 to 6000 cm^2/g, and heating the crushed water purification sludge to a temperature of 550 to 650°Cfor 30 to 90 minutes.

    • An adsorbent for removing harmful gases of rubber and a method of preparing the same are provided to adsorb and remove effectively harmful gases generated from rubber, be effectively used in the preparation of an environmentally friendly rubber composite material from which harmful gases are not released, and which has various colors when the adsorbent is used in a rubber material preparation process. A zeolite adsorbent for removing harmful gases of rubber comprises: a hydrogen ion exchanged zeolite in which at least one zeolite selected from the group consisting of ZSM-5, mordenite, and beta zeolite is ion exchanged with hydrogen; a metal oxide supported zeolite in which a metal oxide is supported onto the hydrogen ion exchanged zeolite; or a mixture thereof. The hydrogen ion exchanged zeolite is treated with at least one selected from the group consisting of ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride, ammonium acetate, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid. The hydrogen ion exchanged zeolite has a specific surface area of 300 to 650 m^2/g. The metal oxide is at least one metal oxide selected from the group consisting of nickel oxide(NiO), cupric oxide(CuO), cobalt oxide(CoO), and ferric oxide(Fe2O3). The metal oxide is supported onto the hydrogen ion exchanged zeolite in an amount of 0.1 to 30% by weight based on the total weight of the metal oxide supported zeolite.
