    • The present invention relates to a structure for preventing movement of gear shift lever upon occurrence of rear-end collision, which includes: a case mounted on a gear shift lever and having a sliding slot formed at the inside thereof in a longitudinal direction to open the bottom surface thereof; a lever whose one side end rotatably coupled to the case from the lower side of the sliding slot; a spring coupled to the lever to apply an elastic force in a direction of lifting the lever; and a protrusion portion formed separated from the gear shift lever in such a manner as to be located under the other side end of the lever, whereby if the lever is rotated downward along the sliding position of a ball, the end of the lever stops by the protrusion portion, thus restricting the movement of the gear shift lever. According to the present invention, the ball slides by inertia to rotate the lever downward upon the occurrence of rear-end collision of a vehicle, and accordingly, the physical movement of the lever stops by the protrusion portion, thus preventing the gear shift lever located at the R stage from being unintentionally moved and avoiding secondary accidents.
