The channel-coded buffer status is inputted to a multiplexer(1212). An EUDCH(Enhanced Uplink Dedicated CHannel) transport format determiner(1218) determines a transport format of packet data by using scheduling assign information.

    • PURPOSE: A method for updating a transmission section of a reverse message in a mobile communication system is provided to enhance transmission success rate of a response message by continuously updating it in consideration of a probability that a response message is transmitted. CONSTITUTION: A COMMON MEASUREMENT INITIATION procedure is performed between an RNC(Radio Network Controller) and a Node B(605). An MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service) CONTROL MESSAGE triggering response messages from multiple UEs(User Equipments) that desire to receive a specific MBMS is transmitted(610). Upon receiving the MBMS CONTROL MESSAGE, the UEs perform a PVT(Persistence Value Test) by using an initial value of Pmbms(615). The UEs transmit a response message(620). The RNC performs a counting operation by using an MBMS ID included in the response message received from each UE(623). The Node B reports the number of acknowledgements sent to the UEs which have transmitted a preamble to receive the specific MBMS during the recent 20 msec to the RNC through a COMMON MEASUREMENT REPORT message(625). The RNC checks whether to adjust the Pmbms, and if the Pmbms is to be adjusted, the RNC executes a Pmbms deciding algorithm to determine a new Pmbms by adjusting the Pmbms(626). The RNC transmits an ACCESS CONTROL message including the new Pmbms to the UEs(627). If a UE, which desires to receive the specific MBMS, has not been successful in using RACH(Random Access Channel), it updates a new Pmbms and attempts the PVT by using the value(635). If the UE is successful with the PVT, it transmits a response message such as an RRC CONNECTION REQUEST message through the RACH(640). When the RNC receives response messages from the UEs as much as an MBMS threshold value, it transmits a counting stop message(645).
