The mixture contains distilled water and gelatin which is mixed at 5:1. The absorbing material is made of more than one among neutral red, trypan blue, melamine powder. The scattering material is made of more than one among intralipid, titanium dioxide, mill, and milk powder.

    • An apparatus for measuring a pulse and a method thereof are provided to accurately measure the pulse by reducing an error between users with an optimum PPG(Photoplethysmography) measuring pressure. An apparatus for measuring a pulse includes a sensing unit(610), a pressure controlling unit(660), and a signal determining unit(640). The sensing unit(610) senses a PPG signal and an acceleration signal obtained from a user. The pressure controlling unit(660) controls the pressure applied on the sensing unit(610). The signal determining unit(640) determines an optimum pressure range by analyzing the PPG signal according to the change of pressure applied on the sensing unit(610), and determines the quantity of exercise by using the acceleration signal.

The main control unit(423) calculates body fat of a measured parts by using the optical signal detected in the optical detector(412).
