摘要： PURPOSE: An improved welding wire drum and a unit passage are provided to remove the lid from the drum conveniently by forming a spacer between cylindrical bodies, and to use each drum without disassembling the package. CONSTITUTION: In a unit package of a plurality of drums(D) filled with coiled welding wire(W), each drum comprises a cylindrical body(10), a top rim(12), a bottom rim(14) and a bottom circular wall fixed to the bottom rim and has a peripheral shape. The unit package comprises a spacer between the cylindrical bodies, a first band stretched around the plurality of drums adjacent the top rim, and a second band stretched around the plurality of drums adjacent the bottom rim wherein each drum has a riser network permanently fixed to the bottom wall and formed from thin elongated elements with a given height greater than about two inches. A lower support plate is permanently attached to the riser network and is parallel to the bottom wall of the drum to provide an integral pallet(P) on each drum.

摘要： A reusable dense packaging system used to transport large size display substrates, is provided made up of three main components; a pallet frame, a cover, and restraining means. The restraining means securely hold the glass sheets within the cover and on the pallet frame. Restraining means includes one or more retaining bars moving towards and away from the front of the glass sheets and a mechanical system. The mechanical system may include the use of a pressing panel, a belt apparatus, a scissor-like mechanism, positioning devices, or a retaining bar pulling system, each capable of moving towards and away from the front of the glass sheets. Each embodiment allows for packaging from 1 to N glass sheets with flexibility and stability and with manual or automatic operation.
