摘要： A system for security communication using an improved GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver and a method thereof are provided to prevent unwanted tampering or interception occurring during a transmission process of GPS location information, and to prevent the location information from being easily received by another person as avoiding generation of GPS location spoofing. Location information indicative of a location of a mobile apparatus is obtained from a GPS receiver(502,504). A GPS chip ID number is obtained from the GPS receiver(506,508). The GPS chip ID number is used as an encoding key so as to encode the location information as encoded location information in the GPS receiver(510). The encoded location information is transmitted to a remote terminal(512). The terminal receives the encoded location information(514). The terminal uses the GPS chip ID number as a decoding key to decode the encoded location information(516). The terminal obtains the location information(518,520).
