    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source apparatus which can restrict blackening of a discharge lamp and maintain a constant inter-electrode distance while driving the discharge lamp, irrespective of the luminance of the discharge lamp, a discharge lamp drive method, and a projector.SOLUTION: A light source apparatus 1 includes a discharge lamp 500 having a pair of electrodes and a drive device 200 which supplies drive current to the pair of electrodes 610, 710.
