    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate enhancement of versatility and electric evaluation of a system of shelf type communication equipment by wirelessly connecting printed circuit boards and reducing cables as much as possible.
      SOLUTION: In the communication equipment having a shelf (11) capable of storing a plurality of printed circuit boards, each of the printed circuit boards is constituted so as to perform transmission and reception by radio in the shelf by wireless communication parts (171, 181), the shelf is provided with a back board (15) having means (173, 182) for supplying slot identification information indicating positions of respective slots which store the plurality of printed circuit boards, as for printed circuit boards of which the insertion is completed, positions of slots into which they are inserted is identified, the shelf has a radiowave shielding board (165) which shields radiowaves outputted from the wireless communication parts inside a radiowave radiation area (162) in the shelf and thus, radiation noise is not given to circuit components inside each of the printed circuit boards and the outside of the shelf.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a communication device, in which a connector having an exit port of a connector cable in a different direction can be connected to the exchange side connector. SOLUTION: A safety device sub-module 100 is provided with two printed wiring boards 1A, 1B and a wire passing port unit 13. Each of the boards 1A and 1B is mounted with a plurality of U-shaped slit terminals 9 which are used as incoming line terminals and arranged in parallel, safety elements 4 which are electrically connected to each of the terminals 9, a test spring unit 3 which is electrically connected to each of the terminals 9 and disconnects a communication line by being inserted with a test plug, and exchange side connectors 16A, 16B which are electrically connected to the unit 3 and are used as outgoing line connection terminals on the exchange side to arrange a jumper cable. The unit 13 is so mounted as to be sandwiched between two boards 1A and 1B.
