摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generator generating a high frequency without using a VCO part and a loop filter part. SOLUTION: A digital signal outputted from a digital synthesizer part 4 constituted to generate an arbitrary frequency signal by a logic circuit is converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter part 5. The analog signal from which an unnecessary wave is removed by using a band pass filter part 6 is set to be an RF signal and a multiplication wave being the output of an oscillator 7 generating a digital part reference signal is inputted to a mixer part 8 as a local signal. Thus, the signal is frequency-converted into a high frequency signal and noise is removed from the high frequency signal by using a noise removal filter 9 out of a band. Thus, the local signal of a communication unit is obtained.

SOLUTION: The basic wave signal of a frequency f0 of an oscillation source 11 is divided into two and the signals are inputted to a double multiplier 12 and a triple multiplier 13. The frequency mixer 14 frequency-mixes the signal of the frequencies 2f0 and 3f0 from the double multiplier 12 and the triple multiplier 13 and outputs the signal of a frequency 5f0 (=2f0+3f0). The frequency mixer 14 outputs the signal of the frequency 5f0 and outputs the phase noise of the signal of the frequency 3f0 reduced from the phase noise of the basic wave signal of the frequency f0.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the spurious and to secure a wide band by synthesizing the frequency of a DDS(direct digital synthesizer) and a direct synthesizing type synthesizer. SOLUTION: The high frequency is required for the output signal of a DDS 2 in order to obtain a filter which eliminates the undesired nearby waves of a desired wave that was synthesized with the output signal of a direct synthesizing type synthesizer 7. Thus, the frequency of output signal of the DDS 2 is converted into the high frequency by a frequency up converter via the mixers of plural stages. A chirp function generation part 9 generates the updating timing of frequency, decides the output frequency in response to the chirp band width and the step frequency and generates a chirp data frequency to designate the address of a memory 10. The memory 10 outputs both frequency rough and fine setting data to control the synthesizer 7 and the DDS 2 respectively. Thus, the output frequency is roughly set by a specific channel space and finely set by the step frequency of high resolution.
