    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas appliance discriminating system and a gas appliance discriminating method capable of improving discrimination precision of a gas appliance to be used.SOLUTION: The gas appliance discriminating system 1 includes a watt-hour meter 40, a water meter 50, and a gas meter 60. The gas meter 60 includes a pressure sensor for outputting the signal corresponding to the gas pressure in a flow passage, and a flow rate sensor for outputting the signal corresponding to the gas flow rate in the flow passage. The watt-hour meter 40 and the water meter 50 detect the use of electric power and water supply. Further, the gas meter 60 discriminates the gas appliance 10 to be used from the vibration waveform to be obtained during a very short time from the time of change of the predetermined value of the signals output from the pressure sensor and the flow rate sensor, and the use timing of the electric power and the water supply detected by the watt-hour meter 40 and the water supply meter 50.

    • PURPOSE: To widen the effective measuring range of a fluid flow rate, and also to extend the life of a sensor membrane by providing a centering spring to the end part of the movable sensor membrane, and by moving the apparent clamp point in response to the flow rate. CONSTITUTION: A movable sensor membrane 20 is mechanically fixed by upper and lower rigid fitting blocks 28, 30 between short centering plate springs 54, 55 consisting of a part of upper and lower elastic guides 48, 50 and long centering plate springs 44, 46. While the sensor membrane 20 causes measurable wave motion by the fluid entered from an inlet chamber 12; when the flow rate is low, the wave motion upstream of the bent line 52 is obstructed by the springs 44, 46. When the flow rate is changed, the apparent clamp point of the sensor membrane 20 in response thereto moves between the bent lines 52 and 58 by the sensoring action of the springs 44, 46, 54, and 55, so that the effective clamp span is changed. Thus, the measuring range is widened, and the strength of the sensor membrane 20 to the wide range is enhanced, and the fatigue is reduced.
