    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unmanned tow target system for reliable drop-down/lift-up of an unmanned craft, which can remain unchanged as a target in posture and outer shape even if the target is fallen down by shooting or ocean waves, and prevent a lashing part of a float of the unmanned craft from being loosened due to temperature change.
      SOLUTION: The unmanned craft 1 comprises a towed device 1f fixed to the unmanned craft and for being lifted by a drop-down/lift-up system 3. The drop-down/lift-up system 3 comprises a towing rope 3a for dropping/lifting the unmanned craft, a towing device 3b mounted on the tip of the towing rope 3a, and removably coupled with the towed device 1f of the unmanned craft 1, and a guiding device 3c for guiding the towing device 3b to the towed device 1f of the unmanned craft 1. The towing device 3b is removably coupled to the towed device 1f by magnetic power.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive an improvement in accuracy in evaluating and verifying the homing performance of an underwater craft, by setting a target strength according to the direction in which a transmitted wave comes from the underwater craft, and outputting dummy echoes from a plurality of echo sounder transmitters at sequential time intervals. CONSTITUTION:A received pulse soundwave 101B from an underwater craft is emitted as a transmitted pulse soundwave 201A at a predetermined level from an echo sounder transmitter 2A, with a delay time corresponding to an azimuth signal. An echo sounder transmitter 2B emits a soundwave as a transmitted pulse soundwave 201B with a further delay. Therefore, the signals transmitted sequentially from a group of the echo sounder transmitters have transmitting points moved serially, and are combined in the sea into a composite pulse soundwave, which is a dummy echo obtained through taking into account a highlight equivalent to an actual sonar target. It is thereby possible to evaluate accurately the homing performance of a homing craft.

    • PURPOSE: To effective defend a ship from a sensitive attack of magnetic mines, by generating from an imitated magnetic model the three-dimensional magnetic field imitating magnetism generated by a ship and using the model as a decoy for a magnetic detector of the magnetic mine.
      CONSTITUTION: A model 2 towed by a ship 1 with a rope 3 houses super electrically-driven coils 7X, 7Y, 7Z generating the magnetic fields of each axis in a spherical shell-shaped cryostat 5 having a bladder 6. The model 2 imitated to generate ship magnetism produces the same magnetism as from a ship, then a magnetic mine 4 mistakes the model for the ship 1 to respond and explode. Accordingly, the model 2 is used as a decoy for a magnetic detector of the magnetic mine, thus the ship can be effectively defended.
