    • PURPOSE:To shorten the operation time of a subengine by stopping the subengine when the operation in the same operation mode to that on the start on the operation of a refrigerator is stopped after the completion of the charge for a battery, in the constitution in which the refrigerator is driven by the subengine. CONSTITUTION:In an endothermic operation, cooling operation is instructed at the upper limit temperature T1 on a thermostat, in a controller 14, and an engine 1 is started, and a battery 16 is charged by a power generator 15, and at the same time, a refrigerator is cooling-operated. When the temperature T lowers, and reaches a set temperature Ts, an instruction for selecting the heating operation is generated, and the temperature in a cooling box is raised by the heating operation of the refrigerator, and when the upper limit temperature T1 of a thermostat TH1 is reached, an instruction for selecting cooling operation is generated. When the charging for the battery is completed in such the refrigerator, operation mode on the start of operation is controlled so that the engine 1 is stopped on the completion of the cooling operation.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a control speed and precision, by a method wherein, in a device which has two cooling systems on the head side and the block side, the motor for driving a mixing valve and the fan motor of each cooling system are controlled according to the number of revolutions of an engine, the temperature of cooling water of each system, and the like. CONSTITUTION:Water pumps 4 and 5 are mounted to portions near the inlet of water jackets 2 and 3, mounted to a cylinder head and a cylinder block, respectively, and outlets on the downstream side are connected to radiators 8 and 9 through conduity passages 6 and 7. The outlets of the radiators 8 and 9 are connected to the pumps 4 and 5 through return passages 12 and 13, respectively, and the return passages 12 and 13 are connected to the continuity passages 6 and 7 through bypass passages 14 and 15 branched at mixing valves 16 and 17. The mixing valves 16 and 17 are driven by step motors 29 and 30, respectively, and are controlled by a control unit 24 based on a cooling water temperature, car speed, a negative pressure in a suction pipe, and the like together with motors 27 and 28 for water pump and motors 31 and 32 for radiator fan.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent over-heat just after stoppage of an engine, by stopping an electric fan after a predetermined time is elapsed after stoppage of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A controller 4 is designed to let a timer function just after receiving an engine stoppage signal S1, and simultaneously to feed a fan stoppage signal S4 to an electric fan 3 after a suitable predetermined time corresponding to an engine cooling degree as computed from a pressure signal S2 and a wall temperature signal S3, thereby stopping the electric fan 3. A pump 9 for feeding a coolant is driven synchronously with the electric fan 3 by a stoppage signal S5 from the controller 4 for the predetermined time even after stoppage of the engine.Thusly, over-heat of the engine may be prevented just after stoppage of the engine.
